Return to ShopHow to care for a curly lace wig. Wash your curly lace wig carefully. Lace wigs don’t need to be washed as often as their own hair; however, after a few weeks, dirt and oil can build up, causing the wig to lose its shine. Your lace wig may also become stiff and difficult to style. Curly hair wigs should be washed before this. Be sure to check out your washing instructions for your particular full lace wig or front lace wig. The general rule for all lace wigs is that they should be washed very gently in a shallow basin filled with warm water and wig shampoo. Just put the wig in the water without rubbing it. Try it out on a towel. You can pat the excess moisture on your lace wig, but don’t rub your lace wig, as this may cause it to lose curls sometimes.
Cut off the ends of your lace wig if necessary. Curly lace wigs are particularly prone to curling and tangling. Cutting a few centimeters of the end of your lace wig will help, but of course you can only do this many times without completely changing your lace wig style.
How to care for a curly lace wig. Use the right comb. If your lace wig is wavy, you can use a wide-tooth comb to gently pull out any tangles and comb slowly from the top of the lace wig. Tightly curled lace wigs should generally not be combed at all, as this will separate the curls. Once the curls are separated, it is not possible to redesign them as before. Some lace wigs can be tilted gently with your fingers.
